Mid-Upper Level Holiday Company Dinner - Previous Restaurants Included Eve, Ray's, Willow, and Fuedo

A friend of mine asked me about Maplewood Grill (in the Former Donor Plaza Space), and I haven't been. Has anyone?

I'm encouraging the friend to join this forum. She is a small business owner, and takes her staff out for a fancy meal during the December holidays, and this restaurant was recommended. Previously she's taken her staff to Willow, Ray's the Steaks, Restaurant Eve, and Fuego Cocina & Tequileria.

I've been a few times  - although it has been over a year since I was there last. Her staff will likely be sorely disappointed after Restaurant Eve (!) but it's a nice place with good food and good service. We usually go with the specials, and in the 4-5 times we've eaten there, never had a clunker. Nothing really mind-blowing, either, though. My only complaint might be that the portions are too big (but I know most people consider that a weird complaint.) It's very much a neighborhood joint, fwiw (not a dive, but lots of regulars, I mean.)

It sounds to me like Clarity would be less of a risk, although I admit to being curious if she does choose Maplewood Grill. Please have her join and write me, or post here with even more details - we'll take care of her, but it's always best to reserve early.

Sounds like her business may be in Arlington, so why not Water and Wall?  Double thumbs up on the Clarity suggestion though.
