Green Pig Bistro celebrates the “Grape American Roadtrip”

Once again Flag Day and Father's Day are almost upon us, and it's time again for us all to ask, "What is Flag Day?" and "What the heck do I do with my dad on Father's Day?"  This year at Green Pig Bistro it will be a celebration of the diversity of America's wine producing regions as the restaurant celebrates the  "Grape American Roadtrip" on June 14th and 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.,  joined by Young Winos and Vino 50.

Green Pig Bistro will be featuring a tasting lineup of All-American estate-grown wines from around the country, including sparkling pineapple wine from Hawaii; pinot grigio from Michigan's Old Mission Peninsula; chardonnay with grapes grown in New York state and produced/bottled in Brooklyn; cabernet from Southern Arizona; "Bordeaux" blend from the Washington State-Canada border; and Willamette Valley pinot noir produced under pristine conditions.

Andrew Stover of Vino 50 and Beth Wolfe of Siema Wines will be on hand to pour these fantastic wines and help introduce guests to the oenological backyard they never knew they had.

Tickets are available by logging into http://gpvino50tasti...eventbrite.com/ Tickets are $22 (advance) and $26 (day of) for a tasting pour of each of the 6 wines plus treats from Scot Harlan’s acclaimed kitchen.   The full dinner and beverage menu will also be offered.

Green Pig Bistro is located at 1025 N. Filmore Street in Arlington, VA.  Reservations accepted for parties of 6 or more.  The restaurant is open for dinner from 5-10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and for brunch on Saturday & Sunday.   For further information, phone 703-888-1920.
