You can now get Real ID on your drivers licenses, and as of Oct 2020, you'll need a Real ID-approved piece of identification to get through airport security. I don't know all the details of this, but maybe someone else does. I can tell you this much: You cannot provide "documents" on your cell phone, so if you've gone entirely paperless, you may have trouble furnishing a utility bill (doesn't that suck?) JFK - Terminal 4 I figure since so many people are getting Priority Pass memberships: "Chase Runs Out of Sapphire Reserve Metal Cards" on mommypoints.bordingarea.com that we might as well start an airport lounge thread. It's probably best if we put the Airport Code and the Terminal Number at the top - that way, if we ever need to split this into a separate forum (fifty years from now), it will be easier. Priority Pass gives you access to three lounges at JFK, one of which is Terminal 4: Wingtips Lounge It isn't fancy (it's actually somewhat utilitarian), but it has comfortable seating, and who cares about "fancy" when you have this free of charge? <--- Kind of cheesy, but hardboiled eggs and heirloom-ish tomatoes work with me. <--- You can grab one to take on the plane, most likely. <--- And, most importantly.

If you have the misfortune to leave from Gate 31B in Terminal 8 (about a ten-mile trek from Terminal 4), there's a Vino Volo there that has, in addition to their good wine selection (better to buy by the bottle), two rock-solid New York beers. Right now, I'm having a very good Saranac Adriondack Lager - they also have a Coney Island Overpass IPA, both $8.71 before tax and tip - grateful to my benevolent server, Francesca (Vino Volo, if this crosses your path, please take note and commend this kind person, whose caring demeanor is a noteworthy asset to your company), for helping me to recharge my dead battery and brightening my day in the process - lounging before limping the last leg of my laborious layover. --- See also Dining near JFK Airport, for those travelers staying at airport hotels, looking for passable fare in South Jamaica.

Does anyone have any lunch recommendations within an easy Uber of the airport? I'm looking for high-level cuisine and low-level formality - a casual atmosphere. I don't care if it's something like ramen; I just want it to be top-notch, and I'm just not that familiar with this area. Much obliged in advance.

Spending Thanksgiving week near San Diego but we're flying in to LAX on Sat 11/22. Will have lunch in LA before driving down to Solano Beach. Saw something about Ford's Filling Station [New arrangement as of 2014] on Bizarre Food, which looks right up my alley. Anyone's been? Anything else near LAX that we should try? My wfie's not into sushi.
