I am going to a Chinese NY party. Has anyone seen any cute pig items- buns, little cakes, or even little chocolates or cookies with cute pigs on them at any of the local shops?

The Chinese New Year 4711 (Year of the Snake) begins on Sunday February 10. Is anyone interested in celebrating the New Year at Peter Chang's in Richmond? I am willing to arrange a special feast. I have no idea now of the cost, but it will surely be more than a "$20 Tuesday" with a preset price and list of dishes. If so, please indicate your preferences for : Saturday, Feb 9 afternoon Saturday, Feb 9 evening Sunday, Feb 10 afternoon Sunday, Feb 10 evening Remember, it's in Richmond, so if you are going to imbibe you will need a way to get a ride home or stay overnight. 2012 is not just the Year of the Dragon, it is the Year of the Yang Water Dragon. The cycle takes 60 years to go full circle. Each year is named after one sign of the Chinese Zodiac, as well as one element, wood, fire, earth, metal and water, as well as yin and yang. I was born in the last Year of the Yang Water Dragon, 1952, but in August, so I did not get to celebrate the New Year and would like to do it right this time. When do we do what? And where can we go to celebrate? So far I know that 100 Degrees Centrigrade is having a special dinner January 22, 2012. Reservations are recommended. The Chinatown parade in DC's Chinatown is January 29, 2012. http://www.washingto...ZEZP_story.html
