I am suprised that Parkway doesn't have a thread yet. Good: half sours, crispy reuben, well-seasoned pastrami with the right amount of fat, wide array of Dr. Brown's products, and PROPER HARD ROLLS for my pastrami sandwich. Hallelujah. Not so good: overly sweet cole slaw, indifferent rye bread, and very slow service at the counter and in the dining room.

The Deli has been here for years, located at 480 Elden Street, in the KMart shopping center a few storefronts to the right. From the time you enter to the time you leave they treat you right. If you cannot decide from one of their outstanding subs detailed on the menu, ask them to make something for you and they will. No fuss, not a chain and not franchised. The bread is fresh, the meats plentiful and made to order within minutes. There are a few tables to sit at but most take their subs with them. I have had "the Deli" which is more of your traditional "Italian" sub, their turkey and cheese, meatball and cheese, tuna, chicken salad and they make canollis to order for dessert. This is one of the no frills, local establishments making their way with the Subways, Jimmy Johns etc all around them. If you want to support a local business with great food and service, give it a a shot. Their website is non-existent and they closed their store in Leesburg last year, but still thrive in Herndon and Fairfax.
