Has anyone been to the Baltimore location? This was a staple when I was a Student at Syracuse University in the late 90's. I loved that their menu listed occasions they cater for: weddings, divorces, etc.

Read this today: "4935 Bar and Kitchen Owner in Negotiations To Take Over Brasserie Monte Carlo Space" by Andrew Metcalf on bethesdamagazine.com Brasserie Monte Carlo might be down on the ropes.....or not. Only been there once in the past 4 or 5 years. Almost got there a couple of weeks ago, might try to get there for lunch in case they are gone soon.

Thai Curry is one of the Groupon specials today (http://www.groupon.com/deals/thai-curry-arlington?c=dnb&p=5). It replaced Bangkok Siam in the Buckingham shopping area, and has been totally renovated - so much nicer than before. Full disclosure in that I am friends with the owner, but I have enjoyed many of the dishes I have had here. A few dishes that you do not see on every other Thai menu as they are trying to emphasize a more "street food" approach, but we still usually order the standard curries and noodle dishes. I do love the Larb Balls, a nice change from regular larb gai although you have to forget all the extra calories that likely come with the frying part of the dish. The owners also have Kanlaya and Asian Spice.

New developments in Brooklyn: A years long landlord dispute has forced Grimaldi's to move up the block and leave its oven behind. The stunning news is that this location will house the return, from retirement, of Patsy Grimaldi. He plans to name the space after his mother Juliana. Adam Kuban's summary article here and Rich Calder's NY Post exclusive here - graphic from his NY Post article: Mentions of Patsy's LES/Harlem pizzeria and Grimaldi's from the NYC Mother Thread:
