I've been to Brewer's Art and a friend recommended Sascha's. Anything else I should consider? Closer the better.

Mari Luna Bistro, a Mexican place, is right across the street, and a branch of DC's Ethiopian place Dukem is also nearby. The Owl Bar is close to Brewer's Art in the Belvedere.
Sascha's is a little far- it's on the south side of the monument.

thanks. We're going to the Hellmand I think, any thoughts? And I was wondering if that Dukem was related to the DC one

The Helmand used to be awesome-and cheap- back in the day when it was owned by Karzai's brother. But I have not been there in (gulp) 13 years. Please report back!thanks. We're going to the Hellmand I think, any thoughts? And I was wondering if that Dukem was related to the DC one
