Tweaked
Tried a couple Chocolate City Beers this weekend. Both were underwhelming. The 1814 ESB had a sour back of the throat finish that tasted of not well made home brew. Otherwise it was solidly ok...I thought they had the British ESB style down pretty good. The Cornerstone Copper Ale had a bitterness on the back of the tongue that I just did not like. So far, for my money, the Port City Porter is by far the best of the local brews that I have tried, with the DC Brau Imperial Porter (which I've only seen on-tap at Proof) a close second. cjsadler
I was underwhelmed by those same Chocolate City beers (1814 and Copper Ale) too. Reminiscent of some my homebrews... not a good thing! Hopefully CC will improve as time goes on.
