Tujague
There are countless reasons why I strongly dislike the new design/atmosphere of Jaleo. But because the food is so consistently good, I won't harp on that. Except to say: food should never, EVER be served in a shoe. And tonight, our croquetas de pollo were served. In a shoe. A clear plastic shoe with red shoelaces. Granted, I was crying over delightful tapas. But I was still crying. And so was Jesus. I guess that means you won't be buying this, mentioned in Nevin Martell's post on CityEats: Destination Cellars Finally, you don’t need to become a shoplifter to score one of the designer sneakers used to serve croquetas at Jaleo. This über-über José Andrés Collection Gift Package comes with the famous footwear, as well as Andrés’ cookbook and a brace of Spanish wines. $950. What is the purpose of serving food in that?

I would suggest that the ultimate Spanish foodie package would be a personal trip to Spain with Gerry Dawes. Please note my comment at the bottom of Nevin's post to find out more information about Gerry's tours.
darkstar965
1 or 2 of the suggestions on Nevin's post invalidate the entire thing for me. Then again, the several excellent ideas don't need that much highlighting anyway. And that's all I have to say about that.

Such awesome foreshadowing, Tujague - CityEats, Uber, and José Andrés ... all in one, big, happy day!
