-----This is an open house, job fair on Wednesday 4-23-2014 between 12-4pm. Location is 1819 7th street, NW, DC 20001 at the restaurant.

Fishnet, a casual, fast pace restaurant with a focus on fresh fish and local produce, is expanding with the second location and looking for full time line/prep cooks. 

We have been in business for almost 2,5 years and received great recognition from Washingtonian, Washington Post and Zagat. We focus on fresh, high quality fish, cooked to order, with homemade sides and sauces. Our customers love the detail and care we put in our food. We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of our restaurant and kitchen.

Our new location is a part of the historical Shaw neighborhood and literally located atop Shaw/Howard metro station. Trasportation is a breeze with the green line. Our great neighbors are Uprising Muffin, Solidcore, Eat the Rich, Mockinbird Hill and other locally owned small businesses.

Here are what you should have to apply:
- A well written resume with past work dates (PLEASE include your professional references because we will call them)
- Work experience of at least 2 years in a professional kitchen
- A current food certificate is a plus
- Well manners and an open mind
- An upbeat behavior

The position requires:
- To clean, cut and portion whole fish
- Making side dishes and sauces from scratch 
- Maintaining the kitchen and cooking equipment 
- Being a team player and helping out others when needed
- Keeping a well, personal hygiene
- Being on time and leaving when the job is done
- A desire to learn and improve
- Being able to lift 50lbs
- To follow the directions of Chef
- A flexible schedule (weekends are very busy)
