Mother's Day, 2014

So, all of you mothers out there, what are your plans (or your family's plan for you) for tomorrow? I have to live vicariously through you, tomorrow, I have to pack my son out of his dorm & my daughter has indoor field hockey, so any MD plans will be postponed to a later date. It's probably just as well, as most restaurants will be overwhelmed. But indulge me, & tell me about your wonderful Mother's Day plans (or what you're doing for your mother). I wish my mom was close enough for me to ditch the rest of the family & take her out for lunch.

I am making brunch for Mom and family.  Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, asparagus, and green salad.  Also serving berries, cake and a cheese plate. I guess we will all need a nap after that.

We had a really nice day, we took my Mom, MK's mom, to Top Golf, MK's sister and dad were there too.  It sounds like a funny way to spend Mother's Day, but we had a really good time.  The food there isn't bad, it's not gourmet, but we had a bucket of beers too and it was just fun.  We had burgers and everyone was happy.  Then my Mom, MK and I went grocery shopping for my brother and SIL who just got out of the hospital with their newborn, so we took them dinner and food for this week and hung out there for a little bit.  Mom opened her present and we got SIL something too.
