Tweaked
The museum at Dumbarton Oakes flies under the radar, but they have a nice collection of Byzantine and Pre-Columbian art. The galleries that house the Pre-Columbian art are very impressive. And the museum is free. Most of the collection is part of their Permanent Exhibit, with smaller Special Exhibits to highlight the collection. Oh, the gardens ($8 entry fee) aren't bad either.
