Justin Bittner
Right up past maple lawn at intersection of 216 and 108 is an old school grocery and butcher shop. They make their own sausage(outstanding) and bacon which is ok. They also make breakfast sandwiches on martins potato buns( but the egg is that pre made stuff) I get a sausage and cheese and go home and fry up an egg from my chicken coop. On Sundays they have coffee out for the taking. The beef is pretty good there and they have a lot of lunch sandwiches on offer too. And they always have some local veggies or fruit. It's my day off morning routine.
Pool Boy
Do they carry lamb? I am looking for a lamb neck (without having to go to Virginia) locally, but everyplace I have tried so far just does not carry it (because they do not completely butcher - they just break down sections, not entire animals). My guess is that you'd have to special order an entire lamb, if you were to have any chance at all. Boarman's has been around forever, and is known for its sausages and lottery tickets (I used to go to Highland on a fairly regular basis).
Justin Bittner
The problem with really cheap cuts is you have to order a lot, lamb neck for me doesn't break and the case is 50 lbs. They're probably in the same boat with that.
