DonRocks
Why is the Mandelbrot Set any more significant or inexplicable than Pi? And have there been any attempts to relate them? This seems like a pretty obvious correlation to me; just don't ask me to explain why.

DonRocks
What does the "B" in Benoit B. Mandelbrot stand for? ...Benoit B. Mandelbrot This *is* a joke, right? (If it is, I get it!) See, the big difference between Mandelbrot and Pi is that Mandelbrot is inside itself (that *was* the joke, right?). An infinite, non-repeating number is much more intuitively disturbing to me than something that's recursive.

DonRocks
Yes, Don, it's a joke. Well, I thought you might have meant something like Harry S. Truman. Saying his middle initial stands for Harry S. Truman, i.e., there's no middle name. Is there anyone here who cares about this stuff? Because if so, I have a hypothesis that quarks are absolutely not the smallest particles in the universe, and it's related to a Koch Snowflake (which in turn is related to all this other stuff including Elizabeth's joke).
