When Opening Your Carryout Container Produces Results Similar To Pandora's Box

I recently got a carry-out order from a fairly well-respected place.  My order included a "charcuterie board" ($14).  This is what I saw when I opened the box:

Needless to say I was not happy.  Hopefully I'm not violating the rules of this thread by not naming names, but I was curious what others would have thought/done in this situation.

I actually don't think it's an absurdly small amount of meat if it's good quality, which it was, but I don't think any self-respecting restaurant should present their food this way, and honestly just how it looked put me off from ever going back there.

but how can you pack up a charcuterie board to go?

This is the question I would have too.  Usually a board also comes with little accompaniments and sliced bread, etc.  Seeing just a bunch of meats that have been tossed around inside a box is unappealing.  If they get many requests for it to go, you'd think they would develop a little prettier packaging system--with items wrapped in individual butcher paper or even deli paper.  For $14, I think I'd like some pickles or something similar in there too.

That's a wretched little container of food if ever there was one.

You can tell it's high-quality charcuterie, and I suspect this will make its way back to the restaurant (they'll know if it's theirs).

One thing I'll mention is that it looks like the box tipped onto it's side - you can see that not only are the meats in the top-left corner, but there are stains on the wall that are indicative of a clustering tilt.

Still, I'd be pretty ticked off if I paid $14 for this thing.

There's also a little *hair* on the ... oh, wait, that's my computer screen. -_-
