Steve Tanzer's "International Wine Cellar" was the #2 monthly wine news letter in the United States (behind Robert Parker's "The Wine Advocate").

The founder of Vinous, Antonio Galloni, used to write reviews for The Wine Advocate.

If you view the Bloomberg video on the top-right of the Vinous website, it is *very* obvious (towards the end) that Galloni has aspirations to sell this company to a higher power. He didn't come right out and say it, but the question caught him off-guard, and he didn't deny it, either.

This was a very smart move by Vinous because they now have instant content, and lots of it.
