Cesco Osteria and CO2 Lounge - Owner Francesco Ricchi Renames Cesco Trattoria, Adds A Lounge, And Moves Into The Former McCormick and Schmick's Space on Woodmont Avenue

Donna was definitely a financial backer at the beginning, but given the deletion from his website some years ago (still cached at Google), I'm guessing Francesco bought him out.

Dumpster diving - Cesco moved a year or two ago to the old McCormick and Schmick's place vacating their old space for an expanded California Tortilla. Anyone been since they moved? Is it worth a look for before/after a movie at the Landmark Bethesda?

I was there about a week ago.  I thought the food was fine- nothing special.  We started with a salad of arugula and grilled radicchio, which was fresh and tasty.  As an entree I had Squid ink tagliolini with shrimp, calamari, asparagus & spicy tomato.  The ingredients were somewhat over-cooked and there was nothing spicy about it.  My dining companions were more satisfied with their dishes, and friends of ours dined there a week earlier and recommended it.  I wouldn't suggest it as a dining destination, but think it is perfectly suitable paired before or after a movie.

Went pre-movie (a dud of a movie too) to have a bite. Not bad. My wife's ribollita was the star of a decent meal. The panzanella was tasty, but suffering from less than stellar tomatoes. I should have known better. My pasta course with shrimp and I think mushroom ans other stuff was certainly better than what Olazzo serves up, but really just fine. Really good service though and some decent prices on the wine list if you look a little.
