Cholera, for instance, was brought under control in the US and elsewhere due to public health measures. Do we really want to bring cholera back here? Of course the irony of his stupidity is that, to eliminate this "burdensome" regulation, he himself, apparently unwittingly, posits a new regulation, that the restaurant would be required to inform its customers that they don't abide by the other regulation. It's truly breathtaking. It reminds one of Click and Clack's old line about being "unencumbered by the thought process."
