pras
I have been meaning to start this thread for a while. Frey's Brewing, located in Mt. Airy, MD is one of Maryland's first "Farmhouse Breweries". In addition to running a hop farm, Adam Frey (full disclosure, I count Adam as a friend) is the brewmaster, accountant, packager, cellarman, etc. I am not sure what his staffing, is up to, but he wears alot of hats. Adam produces many beers of high quality, my favorite of which is Pussy Pilot Parade (the references is to kitties, so get your mind out of the gutter!), which is a black rye IPA. Adam's beers can be purchased onsite in growlers, in some local bottle shops in Maryland, and on tap in many Maryland locations. In addition to being a nice hardworking guy, Adam is also a veteran. If you are interested, you should stop by his farm, get a tour of the brewery, and try his really good beer.
SilverBullitt
Thank you for this information. I'll give it a try. In Mr. Airy is another farmhouse brewery, Milk House Brewery. Also very nice people. I enjoyed their Best Bitter and Petite Farmhouse Ale. A visit to both would make for a nice spring/summer afternoon.
