Ericandblueboy
"DC's Newest Breakfast Food: B-Holes: Really - It stands for bagel holes. Get your mind out of the gutter." by Jessica Sidman on washingtonian.com I was thinking bung-holes, especially since they stuff sh!t inside. lotus125
Are these different from Christina Tosi's bagel bombs?
jca76
from the photo/description, they certainly don't seem to be. bagel bombs are delicious and lend themselves to variation -- i regularly make the milk bar recipe, subbing smoked salmon for bacon -- so no wonder that they inspire imitators. (i recall a minor twitter kerfuffle last year when david chang called out starbucks for selling the shark tank-funded version mentioned in the article above.) genericeric
Learn from my embarrassment - when biting into the b-hole, watch out for the hole in the b-hole where they insert the cream cheese. Otherwise the b-hole can squirt warm, white cream cheese all the way down the front of your shirt when you don't have a change of clothes. You end up looking like you had a lot more exciting morning than you did. (I tried to re-write a few times to remove the many double entendre's here but eventually realized it was a lost cause.)
DonRocks
Pro Tip - Turn a negative into a positive: Since there's no brick-and-mortar location, the brand name is easily fiddled with, and a quibble on "Behold" will work nicely. Think of the possibilities: Smoked Salmon Version - Lo(x) and Beholed, etc.
