Tweaked
We trekked out to Waredaca Brewing Company last weekend, a new farm brewery in the Laytonsville area. Part of a growing trend in Maryland, farm breweries are breweries on farms (obviously) that use ingredients grown on their farm in the brewing process. The farm started as Camp Waredaca and eventually became an equestrian center, and continues to have horses on the property. The brewery has a front tap room, the back brewery area which serves as an overflow room for guests, as well as a outside patio/seating. On a rainy Saturday the place was humming. I enjoyed their Reveille coffee stout. They also serve snacks and outside food is allowed (we brought some Urban BBQ) There seems to be a number of farm breweries opening in that general area of Maryland, no doubt a Maryland Farm Brewery Beer Trail which be happening soon. More on Maryland farm breweries.

More on Maryland farm breweries. This sounds somewhat similar to Grandale Vintner's Table (formerly Grandale Farm) in Neersville, VA, except that its a winery and a restaurant; not a brewery.
