Wine Distributor Sought in the DC, MD, and VA Areas

I have a well-known friend who's looking for a wine distributor in the DC, MD, and VA (all three) areas. Does anyone know of any who would be willing to take on a quality portfolio? Without going into specifics, the person looking is someone I hold in the highest possible esteem - the distributor must be reliable, honest, reputable, and quality-conscious. 

This person has my personal guarantee of quality, as well as the utmost knowledge. Distributors, remember that I used to be the Wine Columnist for Washingtonian, and I know what I'm doing; I just don't dabble in the wholesale end of the market.

Please feel free to use this thread to discuss wine distributors in general, but ultimately, I'm looking for an answer to this specific situation.

Look into Siema Wines. They specialize in Italian wines but have a portfolio of wines from small, more obscure US wine growing areas, for example they distribute a Gruner produce in Pennsylvania.
