Introducing? Mary Tyler Moore? Cloris Leachman? In what sense?

In the series. Betty White, for example, was not yet introduced. Since this is a sit-com, as opposed to an anthology, it makes no sense to list the stars for each episode. Angus Duncan was the first-ever guest star, but never made another appearance.

If anyone can find a good, free Season 1, Episode 1, please let me know - I'd like to include a screen-shot, but the one I saw on YouTube was of inferior quality.

Ah, you mean the characters that these actors played were introduced in the first episode. I really didn't follow you. Mary Richards was introduced; Mary Tyler Moore had already played a starring role in the best American sit-com of the 1960s.
