Heather
Highland Origins a newly opened coffee place across the street from Addis Ababa. They seem to specialize in Ethiopian coffees (no surprise there) and have free WiFi. I had a pretty good drip coffee today.
DonRocks
I've found the following about Highland Origin Coffee at 8200 Fenton Street: Nov 17, 2010 - "Silver Spring Coffeehouse Brews Ethiopian Restaurant Plan" by Kristi Tousignant on gazette.net Mar 23, 2011 - "Highland Origin Coffee To Reopen in Silver Spring After Expansion" by Kristi Tousignant on gazette.net May 11, 2012 - Lesaac Ethiopian Cafe Opens at 8200 Fenton Street according to Lesaac Ethiopian Cafe's Website Mar 12, 2012 - From "Restaurant Roundup" on silverspringsingular.com: "The Former Highland Origin Coffee: Last year the former coffee shop added a full menu and promptly closed. Now, there's a liquor license application for what looks like will be yet another Ethiopian restaurant...." Jun 5, 2014 - A Yelp Manager's "Business Owner's Response" was written by Bethlhem A. of Lesaac Ethiopian Cafe, so it apparently isn't owned by Senait Mehret. The combination of these five items leads me to believe that Highland Origin Coffee didn't reopen, at least not at 8200 Fenton Street, and that Lesaac Ethiopian Cafe is a different business altogether - does anyone know differently?
