monavano
I can certainly see eating bugs -- I like shrimp and lobster, and those are ocean bugs. But someone is going to have to capture, kill & prep them for me 'cuz I'll be in a corner screeching GET IT! GET IT! Me too! I think my bug repulsion goes back to Catholic grade school-- 8th grade, I believe. For our science class, we had to go in back of the school and catch crickets to suffocate in a jar and pin. Walking through the field, those little f*cker crickets were jumping up my skirt! Grossed me out in a big way. But, like you, I adore shrimp and lobster which as you point out, are bugs of the sea. Xochitl10
Brains, lungs, testicles, uteri, and pizzles. Grilled pig uteri are surprisingly tasty. Like especially taut little sausages. I will not eat eyeballs or feet. I don't know why, but feet creep me out. Maybe it's because Azami pointed out that pig feet look like large dog paws, and we have large dogs whose feet we can't imagine eating.
Escoffier
It's obvious that a lot of you haven't lived and eaten in the Orient and parts of Europe. You're overlooking some really good food. We had coxcomb a couple of weeks ago. Similar to shiitake in texture, surprisingly, it tasted just like chicken.
