edenman
Somebody brought this place up as an option for an upcoming dinner and I had never even heard of it. Is it new? old? open? closed? How have I not at least seen this while walking up 18th st?2412 18th St.202-234-0420
jparrott
It's been there for 20 years or so, and according to another business owner in the area, has barely raised its prices since. That said, I didn't find my meal there to be particularly good. Or particularly New-Orleans-y. It's cute, though, and I'd probably eat there occasionally if I lived in the area. hungry prof
Bardia's is a decent brunch option for that part of town. Couldn't have said it better myself. Decent--nothing better, nothing worse--in my experience. When my wife and I used to live in Adam's Morgan, we'd occasionally go to Bardia's for brunch when we didn't feel like waiting for a table at the Diner. fooddufus
Bardia was a customer of mine for several years. His place is small but has lots of the Adams Morgan charm. He is almost always there serving or cooking in the back. The beignets are to die for. And here is the thing that makes him unique. He is THE most honest man that runs a restaurant in DC hands down. That does not make his place the best in Adams Morgan, it just makes him one of the best people. Once you make his acquaintance you'll have a friend for a long time. And his brunch kicks ass.
