hm212
Just found out last night that I am cooking for ten. I am fine with the basics; Turkey - Brining Stuffing Asparagus cassarole (my twist on Green Bean Cassarole) Interesting salad potatoes - maybe mashed maybe baked maybe sweet - not decided yet Apple Pie with cinnamon ice from the ice cream place next to Mayorga in Silver Spring But I really need some low carb options for sides and/or dessert. - HELP
bookluvingbabe
We did roasted brussel sprouts and cauliflower two years ago. Not sure about a healthier dessert--maybe a fall fruit and cheese plate?

synaesthesia
Some kind of cranberry sorbet type thing? Maybe with a less tart sorbet to balance it out. Or something with chocolate and cranberry together would be quite nice.
zoramargolis
Do pureed celery root or cauliflower instead of mashed white potatoes.
qwertyy
Ina Garten did a celery root, fennel, and apple puree from her Back to Basics that looks just terrific. The recipe calls for a bit of potato, but she said on the show that you could leave it out.
synaesthesia
Dan Barber of Blue Hill's brussels sprouts recipe with bacon, bacon drippings (instead of olive oil) and garlic. Just made them and they're redonkulously good.
