Manicotti

I feel kind of stupid starting a new thread for this, but what method do people prefer for stuffing tubular (or other stuff-able) pasta?

Making stuffed manicotti tonight, I realized that I always have a terrible time doing this. I usually use a teaspoon, but that makes a mess. Often the parboiling tears the sheets enough that they can just be wrapped around filling, but I feel as though I should be able to fill the tubes intact. Pastry bag? What is the best method?
