Tweaked
Tony T makes the NY Times Food section! http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/17/dining/1...html?ref=dining (couldn't find a thread for The Pug)
Pat
Cool mention. Interesting article. I remember Tony from the Cap Lounge and the leadup to when he was opening The Pug. And, I still don't think I've ever been there .
Tweaked
The Pug is kind of like a smaller old skool Cap Lounge without all the annoying Hill Staffers...and boxing themed v. political themed.
samsonsizzler
the pug is one of my favorite bars in dc... the place is dark, has a cool theme, drinks are cheap, powers whiskey flows heavily, and the owner is always there to deliver a quick "FUCK YOU!" if you're not acting right... nice neighborhood place for a good beer with no loud 'trance' blasting in the backround... I highly recommend it!
DonRocks
On Tuesday nights, The Pug should be renamed "Jiffy Lube" - get oiled up there quickly and cheaply, and then go elsewhere to fill your tank. Every Tuesday night, it's TWO-DOLLAR domestic bottles and cans all night long. This evening, a can of Brooklyn Lager, Mama's Little Yella Pils, and Dale's Pale Ale cost me $6.00. Total. For all three cans. The best beer deal in the city? Cheers, Rocks.
