for that matter, Thai places in the district don't seem to come up all that much on this board even though there are a fair number of them (e.g. Haad Thai, Thai Chili, ThaiPhoon, that place near Tortilla Coast, etc).

At least for me, there's a reason why Haad Thai doesn't come up and today's lunch only reaffirms it. The most interesting part of my meal was how the purple cabbage made these really cool stripes on my jaw-exercising-chewy-overcooked-shrimp.

I'd just like to add that I wish Haad Thai was better. I always feel like I"m not getting enough veggies or protein when I dine there. The food TASTES good, but I"m left disappointed anyway... and yet i got back.
