Cafe Nicole, Queen and N. Fayette Street in Parker-Gray - Closed

Recommended Posts

Café Nicole opened about three months ago and has been a nice addition to the neighborhood. They're open for breakfast, lunch and (early) dinner and offer a variety of sandwiches, soups, and pastries. More details in this article - including about Sarge's chicken salad, which I think is pretty darned good. Nicole is a veteran of St. Elmo's and serves coffee from Chesapeake Roasting Company, also very good.

Not a destination, but if you're in Old Town and want a quick, relatively inexpensive lunch, take the short walk off King Street to the corner of Queen and N. Fayette. You can enjoy the free wi-fi and you'll be supporting a young entrepreneur.

No web page, but there is a Facebook page.

We were curious about what was going to take the place of the Sgt. restaurant. Glad to hear about this. We'll stop in one weekend.

Just wanted to pass this along. Cafe Nicole has been having occasional spaghetti dinners - there's another one tonight.

Tonite (July 20) from 5:00 - 7:30 P.M. (ish), we will be serving our awesome homemade Spaghetti and Meatballs!

For $10.00 +tax, you get:

A plentiful portion of Spaghetti and Meatballs

A small salad

bread and butter

Dessert (Vanilla Napoleon, Choc. Truffle cake, Fruit Bavarian cake or Bread Pudding)

As goldenticket noted previously, Cafe Nicole is no more. A large, temporary sign yesterday proclaimed "Caboose Cafe".

Best wishes to the new venue, and I will miss the old one. Huge, deftly brewed coffee drinks in an old diner, large-window setting, with a friendly vibe hard to match in our town. Fond memories and appreciation for Nicole, her family and staff.
