South Block, Juice Bar, Coffee House, and Cafe Now in Several Virginia Locations

A little tip for those in Clarendon: the drip coffee at Northside is good, but South Block (11th & Garfield) has the best. As far as I know, they don't have any espresso or coffee drinks (it's mostly a smoothie/wrap place), and there's little room to sit, but it's much faster than waiting in line at Northside. I don't recall where they get their beans.

South Block in Clarendon opened their Juice Co. shop next door on Dec. 15, 2014 (South Block's Facebook page).  Here's an ArlNow article from June 2014 about the planned expansion.

South Block opened this summer at 2121 N. Westmoreland St. in Falls Church, opened on Dec. 12 in Jammin Java at 227 Maple Ave East in Vienna, and opened on Dec. 21 in Ease Yoga studio at 3051 Mt. Vernon Ave. in Del Ray.

When I lived in Clarendon, I would go to South Block almost every day on the way to work. I appreciate the fact that they carry alternative milks and when they first opened they used Intelligentsia coffee.
