delyn
Wandering through the interent from link to link can lead to some very odd little cul de sacs. So there I was reading about cell phones and USB ukuleles when I came across a site on sausage carving. Bonus point for translations Japanese sausage carving Also on the same site the "Turbo Tap" beer dispenser. Link here So now it'll be possible to screw up a decent pour of Guiness in record time Edited July 19, 2005 by delyn
Jacques Gastreaux
There was an article about the turbotap on the front page of the Wall Street Journal within the last week or so.
CrescentFresh
I saw a demo on the tv news for the turbo tap. It was from Wrigley Field and the speed with which they were able to get the beer lines moving was pretty impressive! Would love to see it at RFK. PollyG
And we must not forget the Octodog! There are also many devices intended to cut Japanese sausages into clever shapes for bento boxes, but I am oddly reluctant to perform a search on "shape sausage" from work. And apparantly because there is less foam, there is less spillage and they can get several more draughts out of a keg with the turbo tap.
bilrus
I am oddly reluctant to perform a search on "shape sausage" from work. This is probably what you'd end up with. Al Dente
Most of you have probably seen this before, but you gotta give props to one of the funniest sites on the internets: Lileks - The Dayalets
Al Dente
Also from Lileks: pressed shank braised with smoker's phlegm Perhaps someone should host a dinner party with nothing but dishes from old recipe books. No fresh vegetables allowed!

ol_ironstomach
I have a box! Cut a hole in the box... I used my bacon bandages a few months back and people kept staring...and then asking what grisly horror had befallen my hand. Even in pictures, sectioned pork belly looks far worse than an actual minor boo-boo, folks.
