The Greek Spot

Recommended Posts

I stopped by here with a vegetarian friend last night. And goodness knows there are probably enough vegetarians in the area given its proximity to Black Cat and 930 Club. So they have vegetarian gyro made with Morningstar Farms steak strips, and veggie chicken souvlaki sandwiches. My friend and I both opted for the falafel, which is topped with hummus, lettuce and tomato. I was missing the surfeit of toppings available at Max's and Amsterdam so I decided to spend the extra 66 cents to get the tzatziki sauce. The falafel are now round, but flat rounds. They were definitely lighter than Amsterdam, but nowhere near the crisp, light, fluffy delights at Max's. It's not a bad option if you're not in the mood for chicken, Ethiopian, soul food or a chili dog.

I did find it funny that there was an Asian guy back in the kitchen.
