Texas Toast is not Bruschetta.
I am not sure what you mean by this, but in Italy most places that offer Bruschetta it is simply a piece of bread that has been rubbed with raw garlic and then toasted over a fire and then drizzled with olive oil, and maybe a sprinkle of sea salt. What most people think of as bruschetta with a topping is really a crostini, but on thicker bread.
