  1. I'm a newbie here, I'll be attending tomorrow and would love to meet people from this group. Lynn
  2. Rehoboth We've been going to Rehoboth for 30+ years; for the last 2 of those our absolute favorite restaurant there is Lupo di Mare in the Hotel Rehoboth, on Rehoboth Ave not far from Lingo's Realty but on the opposite side of the street. The chef here has magic in his fingers... everything just comes out great, even standard Italian fare is raised to a higher level. Prices are typical for Rehoboth but seem less because of the quantity and quality of what you get. I always have enough for lunch the next day. My favorite app is the fresh figs stuffed with gorgonzola, wrapped in prosciutto, grilled and drizzled with a good balsamico... Ab-Fab! Also the grilled octopus is delicious. Very authentic, typical food that you would find in Italy, where we spent this past summer. We also like the Back Porch, Eden, and Pig & Fish. Not wild about Dogfish, we have found the food to be dull and the wait to be long. Also underwhelmed by Espuma, thought it was overpriced every time we've gone although we liked the food (not loved). Can't wait to go to Henlopen City Oyster House based on the recommendation above, we'll try it this weekend!
  3. We will be packing for a month and a half trip to Italy... if we can we'd love to stop by. We can bring wine and I'll make some kind of appetizer, since that seems to be needed. I've never been to one of your events and really hope that we can make it. I'll know by Saturday if I've got stuff under control and can escape for a few hours... grazie! Lynn
  4. St. Barthélemy it's probably too late for your planning purposes, but IMHO the best food in the Caribbean is on St. Barth. The island itself is small but spectacular, the people are amazingly friendly, no "island" attitude anywhere, the food is mostly flown in from Paris, the chefs are amazing, and it is just the best vacation you could possibly desire. We've been to: Jamaica, Grand Cayman, several Bahamian islands, St. Thomas, St. John, several BVI islands, etc... nothing compares to St. Barth.
