  1. Hi, I'm Michael, a DR.com supporter and friend and owner of Quench, in Rockville MD. In April 2013 we were named favorite new restaurant by the Restaurant Association of MD, and now we're more actively branching out into catering and events. We've hosted class reunions, weddings a bat mitzvah and numerous parties and corporate events ranging from 20 - 120 people at our restaurant. We also work off-site, providing catering services for The Glenstone Museum, Mercedes Benz, Medimmune and countless others. Again, size of event is not an issue, as we've done everything from a 10 person private dinner to 900 people at Euro Motorcars Bethesda. We'd love to work with the Don Rockwell community, so email Michael@quenchnation.com if interested, and if you mention that you found us here, we'll give you 10% off your group or catering event. Thanks!

  3. Hey all -- it's Michael from Quench here. One thing we've tried to do from day one is to involve the community in our restaurant decision making -- menu ideas, promotional ideas, event ideas, tastings, etc. To make that work, we formed the "Quench Advisory Board." It's probably the easiest board you'd ever serve on, as your main duty would be to swing by Quench once a month or so to help us taste new drinks, try new food and give some input into our menu. (Also, if you're so inclined to help promote us, spread the word and say nice things about us on Yelp and Trip Advisory and the like.) Interested? It's a good time to join, since we'll be tasting fall food and drink ideas in early September! If so, please send an email to Michael@quenchnation.com or drop by our facebook at www.facebook.com/quenchnation and send a message that way. Thanks - and we hope to put your palette to good use! Michael
  4. Hello Rockwellians! Allow me to introduce myself ... I'm Michael, I own Quench in Rockville, and I'm posting this with the express permission of Mr. Rockwell! I just wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to the great crew on this site for any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, etc. on how we can improve our restaurant. As you may have heard, earlier this month we were awarded the Best New Restaurant award by the Maryland Restaurant Association. We were nominated by our peers and voted in by the public, so this was a special honor, but not one that will go to our heads; we know we need to be better, and we truly rely on the community to help us be the best we can. We actually have a "Quench Advisory Board" that helps us (and helps try new food and drink), so please email me at michael@quenchnation.com if you're interested in getting involved. In the meantime, I'll end with this plug: we're pretty good! We're ranked #2 in Rockville on Trip Advisor, and while I'm not sold that we're the best new restaurant in MD, we're trying, and we have great food and drinks at reasonable prices ($10 lunch for the whole menu). We also do great happy hour, a fun musical brunch on Saturdays, open mic night Tuesdays, 1/2 off wine on Wednesday and assorted other fun things (music, DJ's, stand up comedy, etc.). To be in the loop "like" us on Facebook, and please always feel free to reach out to me. Thanks - thanks to Don for this opportunity -- and I hope to meet you soon! Michael
  5. Allow myself to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Michael and I own Quench in Rockville (www.QuenchNation.com or www.Facebook.com/quenchnation). Here's a bit about us and what we do: Recently named Best Cocktails in Rockville by Washingtonian Magazine and a Noteworthy Newcomer by Zagat, Quench is Montgomery County's destination modern American restaurant. Featuring dozens of hand crafted cocktails, unique beers and wines, as well as a seasonal menu of small and traditional plates of innovative American cuisine, Quench prides itself on house made items -- everything from condi... ments to cocktail mixers is made in house, usually using local and organic ingredients. We also believe that we make the area's best burger and fries. One thing we take pride in at Quench is neighborhood and community involvement with helping shape our restaurant - we have a "Quench Advisory Board" that gathers from time to time to offer ideas on our menu, promotions, events, etc. All feedback -- good or bad -- is always welcome, as we strive to fill what we think is a void in the Rockville area. So please feel free to check us out, say hello or send email if you're interested in getting on our board, coming to check us out or just to say hello. We've been here 4 months, we're good and getting better everyday, and we hope to be around serving our area for a long, long time. Thanks for reading, and please come see us! Michael
