Al Dente
I can spend hours reading this stuff: https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/ For example, do you want to know if your flashlight's light will reach Mars? Why does that frozen chicken thaw so quickly on a granite countertop? Would we know how to have sex if we were never taught that it exists? Enjoy! PS - you could shine a flashlight at *Earth* and a small amount of light would reach Mars, unless something, e.g., a satellite in synchronous orbit, or even the Moon (see Syzygy), gets in the way of the two. Yes, there are things, such as refraction, that could possibly curve the light away. Also, you might be interested in reading about wave-particle duality. Al Dente
Are these harder questions?

There's a reason that, in Europe, once you walk into a restroom, the toilet is often in a separate room from the sink, with its own door - why does it even matter if the water about to fill the toilet picks up some bacteria? (Refer to "Zach and Miri Make a Porno.") The sink? That's an entirely different story. And as a side issue, God only knows where that sink water has traveled from its source to the faucet, and what it has encountered along the way. I honestly didn't (and still don't) understand the answer (or even the question) about bovine flatulence, but I suspect solar energy, wind, and water (via gravity) is a better way to go.
