DonRocks
Terge Isungset is a known musician (I didn't know him, but others do). Related to this, sort of, are two things I can think of: * The Great Stalacpipe Organ at Luray Caverns * The Glass Harmonica (incredibly, invented by none other than Benjamin Franklin) The two "instruments" produce shockingly similar sounds - one is made from rocks vibrating; the other, from crystal vibrating. Regarding the latter, two interesting things: * Jamey Turner (a genuinely good musician) is "that guy" you see standing out on the street in Old Town Alexandria, with his Glass Harmonica set up - he's been doing this for as long as I can remember, and I'm certain others here have seen him. His sound is inconsistent, but beautiful. * Mozart, Beethoven, Donizetti, Richard Strauss, and Saint-Saens all composed pieces using a Glass Harmonica - hard to believe, but true (here's the Mozart).
