Mile End Deli - Montreal-Inspired Delicatessen in NoHo and Boerum Hill

Recommended Posts

This weekend, I had a hot pastrami sandwich from the Mile End Deli on 53 Bond Street (NoHo). The pastrami comes with fried onions and maple mustard on rye.

I'm not sure how they heated the pastrami, but it was chewy and salty, and parts of it reminded me of bacon. The maple mustard was sweet and pungent, and the onions were crispy fried (rather than soft) and added an extra fattiness to the sandwich. Overall, I thought the sandwich was salty and had strong competing flavors. I don't think I'll get it again.
