The laws of physics have been broken: The Big Sexy jacks his first gherkin, at age 42, prompting the Mets' announcer to proclaim, "This is one of the great moments in the history of baseball!"

Watch the entire video: His teammates evacuated the dugout, so after Colon's 30-second trot around the bases, he arrived at an empty dugout (before being mobbed immediately afterwards).

Colon broke Randy Johnson's record of being the oldest MLB player ever to hit his first home run. Along with Julio Franco and *Willie Mays*, Colon is now one of three Mets players to hit a home run at age 42.
