Joe H
2005 Bergevin Lane is a mouth coating, full bodied, delicious Washington state cab from one of the state's best vintages. From the Wine Spectator: "Smooth and round, with generous cherry and currant fruit rolling easily over the palate, hinting at roasted red pepper and smoke as the finish lingers against a hint of sweet oak. Drink now through 2013. 925 cases made." They gave it 90 points but this isn't about that. I bought a case of it from the Wine Library ( http://winelibrary.com/search.asp?search=b...p;x=34&y=14 ) and believe it is one of the best values that I have had from anywhere. (The list is about $27 but they are selling it for $19.98. With 45 minutes to open up and smooth out it is a superb value, drinking for all the world like a good $50 wine. For all of the Chilean, Australian and Spanish wines out there this has to rank among the best of any of them for value. A compliment to anyone's wine list in the D. C. area.
