MBK
Anyone have a good-to-great source for challah in the metro-accessible DC area (bonus points for DC proper, even more bonus points if it's between Union Station and Dupont)? I should've just gotten my mom to bake an extra last weekend and brought it home, but I wasn't thinking ahead.
bookluvingbabe
Marvelous Market's isn't bad.
mame11
I like the brand Brookville Market sells, they import it from Brooklyn or Baltimore I think. Its in Cleveland Park so not too far from Dupont. Also, you could call the JCC and see if you can tack on to their holiday orders. I think they get their Challahs from Shalom Bakery. It's (technically) in Dupont so it meets your geographic location.
lekkerwijn
Firehook and Whole Foods both make a respectable Challah.
hillvalley
The bakery in Eastern Market (it used to be Mrs. Fine's, don't know if that's still the name) has great challah.
Chocolatechipkt
Breads Unlimited in Bethesda is pretty good, and Stella's in Rockville (near the White Flint station) is good as well.
