Any suggestions for restaurants in the area based on personal experience? I'm looking more for "gastronomique" as opposed to "vinstube" places. Sthitch Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Right after it opened, I had a great meal at L'Homme Sauvage in Turckheim. In Colmar JY's is fantastic, and right on one of the canals. jpbloom Posted November 19, 2007 Share Posted November 19, 2007 The top dining destination in that area is L'Auberge de L'Ill, http://www.auberge-de-l-ill.com. Three Michelin stars forever. It's been several years since we've been there, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We had an excellent meal, albeit pricey. Factor in the current exchange rate, and plan accordingly.
