Today is the 75th anniversary of the passing of the Blaine Act which began the end of national prohibition by repealing the 18th amendment to the constitution (Prohibition) and legalizing beer that's 4% ABV. Three days later, on February 20th 1933, Congress proposed repealing prohibition. This led to the national ratification of the 21st amendment 10 months later on December 5th when Utah became the 36th state to ratify the amendment (ratification of a constitutional amendment requiring 3/4 of the state legislatures to do so).

So there's your reason to drink today.
