We are moving to Oakton and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed our meal (at the chefs counter) and look forward to spending more time here. The smoke beef brisket was the best brisket(outside of texas) i have ever had. The space is a bit odd and there are a couple other weird nuances, but hopefully Jonathan and Jason can make a go of it and Vienna can support a solid foodie spot without having to drive into the city.

Aloha! Long time lurker, but now officially a new member. I was born and raised in the DC area and have watched the culinary scene blossom in the past ten years. DC is no longer the OLD School Expense account steakhouse city it used to be and I love it. While we will never eclipse Manhattan I think DC is the 2nd best city on the east coast for foodies. We are also very lucky to have damn good va wines nearby and fantastic local produce and meats from all the farmers in md and va. It's about time chefs took note and showcased that product on their menu's(even though farm to table is loosely used everyone nowadays). It has been cool to see the progression of local bartenders(gina is awesome, met her back in the eat bar days) to chefs(knew voltaggio when he was chef at Charlie palmer). Hopefully fame and fortune doesn't go to much to their heads LOL. It's pretty cool even though DC is such a transient place and their are so many people here, that the Hospitality industry still seems close knit and everyone knows everyone. Everytime I chat with a bartender or Som we end up knowing the same people and I am not sure it's like that in other cities. Anywho I hope to be a great contributing member of the community and will post here instead of yelp from now on.
