Hat Trick

Hat Trick (4/123)

  1. I tried TBJ today for the first time and the burger was extremely over-salted to the point that I did not eat the entire burger. Very disappointed, as I wanted to like this place. I'm thinking that this is an abberation, but wondered if anyone else had that experience.
  2. I would also have to disagree with Porcupine. I have had very good experiences at Amici Miei. My wife and I have been there many times and generally we get the baby octopus appetizer, which has a nice smokey flavor, the pizza, made in a wood burning oven, is again very good. The pastas are all excellent and homemade. The mushroom ravioli is my favorite though I have not tried them all. I will say that sometimes the food could use a bit of salt, but that's pretty easy to rectify. I have found service to be friendly and good.
  3. Just got back from Dogfish on Saturday night. Very disapointing food experience. I am a fan of their beers and have been for some time. The beer was excellent as always, but the food was just not good. The mahi mahi sandwhich and the portobello mushroom and bluecheese burger both were poor. Seemed to me like they were skimping on the ingredients/quality. The burger looked and tasted like something which had been previously frozen. The fries seemed as though they had been cooked long ago. They are using poorer quality bread as well. I went here last year shortly after they opened and everything was much better. I won't be going here again for food.
