At 5 PM tonight, a line had already formed outside of the unmarked restaurant. It's worth it. The Diablo marinated burger with applewood smoked bacon, Dutch bleu cheese, and mushrooms, grilled "recommended," was the best burger I've had in a long time. And then, to be told, "Oh, Michael's not accepting money tonight." Wow. Thank you to Mr. Landrum and the astonishingly friendly staff and patrons there tonight (clearly comprised almost exclusively of people from this board) for making a local solo diner feel welcome.

Went to PX a few weeks ago... This was the first time I had ever been there, so I don't know which of the drinks were new. The grog was far and away the best drink of the evening- chilled lemon verbena tea with rum in a huge pirate-style mug. I wasn't particularly adventurous on this trip but also liked the gin and tonic. We all tried each other's drinks and there wasn't a bad one in the bunch (though some people enjoyed the tobacco and honeycomb flavored drink more than others- "The Smoker's Delight.") The flips and the drink with housemade lime cola sounded tasty too. A huge part of the fun of the PX is trying something new, and I'm glad I went in without too much knowledge of what was supposed to be good. There were chips at the table which were constantly restocked, but otherwise no food- they may have some small other things available if you ask. My group went downstairs to Eamonn's after the PX and were very content.

After reading many of the comments on this board about the service at Bebo, I wanted to mention that I had a great experience tonight. I sat at the bar with my cousin early in the night; shared an excellent pizza (the Salciccia e Broccoli) and a very good canneloni. The staff checked on us repeatedly and were friendly through the night. At one point, a member of the staff checked on us and observed that my cousin seemed not to love the wine that she had ordered (though she had no complaints). He chatted with her about her tastes and brought us a free replacement glass of Squinzano, which she absolutely loved. I had a great time at Bebo tonight and will certainly return.
