  1. i recently joined the forums.. did miss it next time, i will surely make it.. Korean BBQ is amazing.
  2. clyde's in gtown and Reston, have always delivered consistent delicious calamari (at least in my opinion)..
  3. Just got the word, Ray the Steaks is moving to Courthouse on N. Adams Street/wilson blvd. Any truth to this? That would make a great addition to the already upcoming restaurant boom..
  4. I would recommend Duke Kabob House -- consistantly good Afgan kabobs..not on the spicy side, but tasty juicy kabobs which come in good portions. This is a short drive from Duke Street, but if you interested in authentic Korean BBQ YOU Must try " Han Sung Oak Restaurant." Absolutely the best korean BBQ in the area. Locally owned and always packed with koreans, which means, they love it too. I trypically get the beef combo dish which comes w/ the fixins'. You cook the meat on a hibachi type grill marinated w/ it's own juices and different sauces. Once the meat cooks (usually 2 minutes), you wrap it up in a cabbage leave w/ various topping .   5. Just visited me jana few days ago for dinner. very upscale looking restaurant and the menu is quite revealing in their desire to bring true lebanese to arlington. I tried some appetizers i.e. beef kebba, hummos, and falalal..and found it to be excellent. The chef himself came to my table and introduced myself and it was very nice of him to explain the different flavors found in traditional lebanese cooking. For the entree, i stuck with what i know, best..Shawarma..i went with beef and it was amazing.. succulent juicy beef portions in a warm pita bread.. very good!!! bakalava was very good to..made on premise.. overalll, enjoyed my dinner at me jana. looks to be a great date place, and even afterhours..it was extremely busy on a friday night. pricewise, i was very satisfied w/ the quality of food, and service.. cheers dcfoodlover
  6. Ravi kabob is the best authentic pakistani kabob house in the area. I eat there 2x a week, and glad there are others who appreciate good eatin'. Just want to point out to readers, that while many confuse indian,pakistani,and afgan restaurants...Ravi is strictly pakistani. The karhai is a speciality of punjab i.e. Lahore,Pakistan and the chick peas variation is also very common in pakistan.. I have tried kabob palace in arlington and other kabob houses, none have the consistent quality and flavor of ravi.. most of the indian restaurant i frequent are very good w/ lentils, veggie dishes like 'palak paneer' but when it comes to lamb,chicken,beef curries, i think ravi has them beat.. can't wait to go there next week.. bon appetite folks! dcfoodlover.
