  1. I agree, Rob's class is very good. There is a lot to learn but if you do the "homework" then you will end the class with a good knowledge of wine. The best part is the amount of different wine you get to taste, approx. 12 different wines a night. The best part is that he doesn't just buy cheap wine, in the Bordeaux and Burgundy class, you definitely get your money's worth.
  2. Sounds great. I haven't been up that way in a while but when I worked in Rockville (Shady Grove Rd area), I would frequent a place called The Caribbean Feast on Rockville Pike (just south of Rockville Audi/Porsche). Authentic Jamaican cuisine and very generous portions. It is a little hole in the wall but the food was amazing. Looks like I might have to make the trip from Falls Church to Rockville in order to check out Grand'Ma Cooking. Thanks, Eric
  3. What happened was that they were not selling enough food to be able to maintain their on-premise license and therefore had to remove all the wine and reapply for a new, off-premise only license. I talked to Amy, GM of the Clarendon store and she is hopeful that they will be back up and running the first week of September but unfortunately without the ability to offer "a pop" after you shop. You'll have to stick with Tallula's for that.
  4. Just letting you all know that the wines being shown tonight (Thursday, 08/04/2005) at Tallula are: Joel Delaunay Touraine 2004 Vecchiatorre Leverano Rosato 2004 Cantina del Pino Dolcetto d'Alba 2003 Hopefully you all can come out and enjoy these tasty treats.
